Hi friends… vlog time – it’s official… Kevin Frankish can do it all – news man, comedian, culinary king and now…… baker?
Yes… the man of all trades successfully and deliciously (is that even a word?) executed the now famous Ketchup Cake (which The Sun’s Rita DeMontis now affectionately calls the ‘Kevin Ketchup Cake’) after reading all about it on the show yesterday (the recipe was taken from Rita’s column yesterday and is featured on our website).
Heinz is celebrating 100 years of delicious condiment-making with a cake that contains… you guessed it… ketchup! Now that you’re all caught up… check it out… it’s even aesthetically pleasing… I’m impressed.
Thank-you to everyone who wrote in… we were bombarded with versions of tomato soup cake… soda cake… you name it… very fun and tasty I’m sure… well, I wasn’t sure at first but after wolfing down a thick piece of the yummy ketchup cake today I’m a believer!
It was really really good… really!… perhaps a festive Canada Day cake??? Valentine’s Day cake… upcoming Mother’s Day cake???? Options are endless but,… WARNING!!!! The icing is deadly (good deadly), I licked the plate clean…

I just need to share this article with you from the Sun a paper in the UK.  Sources say Britney spears has turned the soil in an attempt to find happiness in her life…finally.  I just hope she saved her hair (Spears shaved her head in the past) to place in the garden to repel rodents and improve nitrogen in the soil!!

She has also been closely studying books about the spiritual aspects of gardening while on tour in the United States.

A source said: “Britney has tried every kind of therapy going. She’s studied yoga, seen numerous counsellors and even experimented with mysticism, but they’ve never been more than passing fads.

“This time seems different though. She’s committed to learning as much as she can about horticulture and how it impacts your well-being.

“Whenever she returns to her California home she’s straight out in the garden working. She’s very proud and knowledgeable about what she’s planted and what is growing around her house.”

Flower therapy uses flower essences to “balance physical and emotional disturbances”.

Toxic singer Britney, 27, had a series of breakdowns in 2007 and was twice sectioned the following year.

First I must apologizes!!  I had full intention of blogging when in Holland however I didn’t really anticipate how busy I would be!!  I hit the ground running and saw …well let’s just say I took over 800 pictures.  Over the next few days I need to edit and upload pictures, take 15 hours of video and package it into a one hour show, buy a birthday gift for my wife and spend some much needed time with my newborn and little Gavin. 

Just to give you a little tease of what I did in Holland here is a listing of stories I shot.

What a Gorgeous day on Saturday!!  Perfect weather for Canada’s Wonderland.  I bumped into some friends including Kevin & his kids.  See the pics below.

Sunday I Hosted The 25th Annual Walk of Life in Support of The Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada.  The Walk takes place along the Martin Goodman Trail and a little rain didn’t stop the happy walkers.

Today I was at Sunnybook’s Women & Babies Program to promote One Night Live go to www.onenightlive.ca for tickets.

David & Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute in Scarborough is having a 50th Anniversary Reunion. CLICK HERE for more info.

1:00 – 4:30 pm: Open House at the school. There is no charge for this event. Come and find classmates, teammates, former teachers or students for a gala celebration. There will be decade rooms, and rooms set aside for athletics, music, drama, etc. And, who knows? It may be your last chance to see the old building before it is demolished.

DECADE ROOMS:  1960s: girls’ (south) gym / 1970s: boys’ (north) gym / 1980s: cafeteria south end / 1990s and 2000s: Room 112.

2:00 pm: Official Auditorium Ceremony.

8:00 pm – 1:00 am: Evening at the Embers. Cost $20.00. Cash bar, plus hot and cold finger foods served throughout the party.
