One of the best parts of my job is to meet people I’ve always been a HUGE fan of….and that was the case today with Kevin Smith…he’s in town for a bunch of reasons…he’s promoting his new feature film “COP OUT” starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan (it’s the first time Kevin’s directing a film that he hasn’t written and it’s out late Feb), he’s also doing his brilliant storytelling thing on Friday night at R T hall (but as usual…it’s sold out!), and he’s working closely with Gretzky for a charitable cause. Kevin is always so endearing, gracious and down to Earth in his interviews….refreshingly honest… and he’s truly appreciative of the mad love he gets from all of us Canucks…..and the feeling is mutual…the guy is a genius…take a look at the pics and see for yourself just how generous he is…he stopped to take time with everyone who wanted an autograph and a picture outside our studios and even took time for all of our staffers who wanted to snap their moment with the Smith-ster…..continued success Kev…the trailor for COP OUT looks hilarious…looking forward to seeing what your’e up to next!

Ok, now I am totally jealous of you. Kevin Smith is awesome and I would have loved to have had the chance to chat with him. Glad I pvr’d BT this morning — cannot wait to see the interview!
