We went to Kahi to cut the ribbon on a brand new protected water source.  When we approached the Area Development Project the whole village was singing.  When I asked Joy (Program Dir. for World Vision Rwanda – National Office) what the families were singing she replied “No More Disease, we have Clean Water Now”.  It was a very emotional for all of us.

Can you imagine not being able to protect your child from disease because you didn’t have access to clean water?

    Hi Jen,

I think that’s amazing work the Courage Brothers are doing for Rwanda. I spent a couple of weeks there this past May and immediately fell in love with this country. It is the most beautiful country I’ve ever seen, as are the people.

While in Kigali, I volunteered at Mother Theresa in Calcutta orphanage (not far from the city centre) where I met such loving children. One in particular, Danny, made my heart melt. If you can, please take some time to visit these children, they are desperate for attention, love and affection.

Enjoy the Primus and try the ugali!

What a touching moment. It’s amazing to see the small steps that are being made to help the people of Africa. This is a country with such limited resources but with everyone contributing in a small way, big things can and will eventually happen. Bless you all!

For the past 10 years, our family have woken up early on New Years Day and start ed the new year by volunteering at the Polar Bear Dip in Oakville.

There have been many years, where we were freezing, soaking wet and were tempted to run off to a Tim Hortons to say out of the cold, but seeing this video makes all the efforts from everyone, especially the Courage Brothers all worth it! It is so exciting to see what can be done if everyone does their small part in making this world a better place!

I have had the experience to travel overseas and seen World Vision’s work and I want everyone to know that you can make a difference in the lives of children and their families!
